Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide compassionate and skilled patient care within a adolescent psychiatric unit, supporting mental health treatment and stabilization of youth patients. Ensure safety, comfort, and engagement while adhering to clinical protocols and documentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Observe patients continuously, conducting rounds every 15 minutes to assess mental and physical status.
• Assist with patient activities, providing support and engagement to promote therapeutic progress.
• Perform EKGs and phlebotomy as needed, maintaining accuracy and compliance with clinical procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions, report concerns promptly to nursing staff, and document observations thoroughly.
• Support the clinical team by assisting with basic patient needs and maintaining a safe environment.
• Follow unit orientation and adhere to policies regarding restraints, emergency interventions, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in psychiatric settings and pediatric clinical care.
• Valid BLS and PCT certification.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, kindness, and patience when working with children and adolescents.
• Capable of handling emotionally demanding situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Willing to work first-time traveler assignments and flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Maintain a medically stable status and understanding of common adolescent mental health conditions.
