Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a hospital setting, focusing on adult patients requiring medical and surgical interventions. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately per clinician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to clinical changes promptly.
• Document patient progress and interventions using electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and clinical documentation.
• Maintain current BLS certification; CPI preferred.
• Possess strong assessment skills and ability to manage multiple patients.
• Be willing to float to like units as needed.
• Capable of working night shifts (4x12 hours) and weekends.
