Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant in the Neurology Department is responsible for supporting clinical workflows, including document management and administrative tasks, to ensure smooth departmental operations. They will assist healthcare providers with clerical and back-office functions relevant to patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and scan documents into PowerChart to maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Support neurologists and medical staff with clerical tasks related to patient flow and documentation.
• Organize back-office operations to facilitate efficient workflow within the neuro department.
• Manage patient records and ensure timely updating of clinical documentation.
• Assist with general administrative duties as needed to support department functions.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification required.
• Proven experience working in a clinical or back-office healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of electronic health record systems, especially PowerChart.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
