Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a surgical environment, supporting orthopedics and spine procedures. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical interventions while maintaining adherence to sterile techniques and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients preoperatively to determine their readiness for surgery.
• Prepare the Operating Room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes throughout surgery.
• Manage patient recovery post-operation, including pain management and discharge instructions.
• Adhere to on-call schedules, including one day of call weekly and one weekend every seven weeks.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate OR and spine surgical experience.
• Possess strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early start times (0600 or 0800).
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
