Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a maternity unit, supporting labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the childbirth process while adhering to established clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief options as prescribed.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in Centricity and CPSIM systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with various procedures during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and newborn care practices.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetrical nursing.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in charting with Centricity and CPSIM.
• Be cross-trained in labor, mother/baby, newborn nursery, and postpartum units.
• Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines and standards of care.
