Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Telemetry unit with a focus on respiratory and medical conditions. Responsible for monitoring and managing cardiac and physiological parameters, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality clinical care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and titrate titratable and set rate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, Dopamine, and Amiodarone while monitoring patient responses.
• Evaluate patient conditions, including respiratory diagnoses and medical comorbidities, to develop and implement appropriate care plans.
• Operate and review cardiac strips and telemetry equipment, collaborating with monitor techs and charge RNs to ensure accurate assessments.
• Perform trach care, ventilator management (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow O2), and other respiratory interventions in adult and geriatric populations.
• Respond promptly to alarms and clinical changes, adjusting treatments and notifying physicians as necessary.
• Document patient care activities, physiological data, and interventions comprehensively in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of Med-Surg, Telemetry, Critical Care, or related experience.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Proven experience with titratable drips, cardiac monitoring, and ventilator equipment.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills and ability to respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to float to Med-Surg or Emergency Department as needed.
