Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide mental health support to patients in a psychiatric setting during night shifts. Ensure safety, administer care, and assist with crisis prevention and management.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate psychiatric care.
• Implement crisis prevention strategies and de-escalate agitated behaviors.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions and treatments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and execute care plans.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a secure environment for staff and patients.
• Respond to emergent situations promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or higher.
• Obtain and maintain current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Complete CPI or TEAMS training; nonviolent crisis intervention certification preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to manage aggressive or assaultive behaviors.
• Possess excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings is preferred.
