Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients preoperatively to determine their health status and prepare them for surgery.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed, monitoring patient responses.
• Maintain a sterile environment by following strict aseptic techniques during procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members by passing instruments and managing surgical supplies.
• Monitor patient vital signs during surgery and respond to any emergencies promptly.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in medical records.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license with active state registration.
• Proven experience in operating room or perioperative nursing.
• Certifications such as CNOR, BLS, and ACLS are required.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
