Job Summary:

Providing specialized perioperative nursing care, the Operating Room Nurse ensures patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires coordination with surgical teams to deliver efficient, quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health history and surgical readiness prior to procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and sterile supplies.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgeries, passing instruments and monitoring patient status.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Document all care activities and surgical events accurately.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
