Job Summary:

CVOR Tech supports complex cardiothoracic and transplant-related surgical cases by maintaining sterile field integrity and assisting with end-to-end operative workflow. This role is critical to surgical readiness, patient safety, and efficient turnover across assigned areas, including Main OR as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile sets, instruments, and supplies for cardiovascular/thoracic and robotics-focused procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique standards throughout setup, case support, and instrument handling.
• Assist with procedure readiness by stocking and verifying equipment functionality before incision.
• Support intraoperative workflow by anticipating surgeon and circulating needs for CVOR/OR tasks.
• Perform terminal cleaning and room reset activities to support safe, timely case turnover.
• Coordinate with clinical team members to ensure compliance with unit standards and surgical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current CVOR Tech certification or equivalent perioperative credential required for OR support.
• Maintain at least 2 years of recent CVOR or operating room experience.
• Demonstrate competency in sterile processing practices and aseptic field maintenance.
• Show ability to support first-time traveler onboarding with strong clinical fit during review.
• Possess a strong understanding of cardiovascular/thoracic surgical workflow and instrument management.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strict compliance expectations.
