Job Summary:

Registered Nurse providing oncology-focused care in a step-down/telemetry setting during nightshift coverage. Delivers safe, timely nursing interventions, monitors patient status closely, and supports clinical decision-making to promote recovery and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry and vital signs to detect and respond to patient condition changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed oncology medications and therapies while adhering to safety and verification protocols.
• Provide comprehensive step-down level nursing care, including assessment, documentation, and care coordination.
• Implement evidence-based nursing interventions for symptom management and treatment-related complications.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate charting, follow infection prevention practices, and ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrate oncology experience with familiarity in oncology patient care needs and treatment impacts.
• Possess telemetry or step-down experience with strong patient monitoring skills.
• Provide recent clinical documentation proficiency and ability to follow standardized care protocols.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills in fast-paced settings.
• Complete required competency and facility onboarding for oncology and telemetry/step-down care.
