Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (ICU) provides high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, coordinating treatment plans and monitoring patient status to support rapid interventions. This role performs comprehensive assessments, administers medications and therapies, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to maintain safe, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients using clinical judgment and standardized protocols to identify changes in condition.
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and related clinical indicators and respond to urgent needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and complex treatments according to prescribed orders.
• Manage critical care documentation, including charting, handoffs, and care plan updates.
• Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other team members to implement care strategies.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and ensure equipment is properly set up and functioning.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrate ICU/critical care nursing experience and comfort with high-acuity workflows.
• Possess strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills for rapid decision-making.
• Demonstrate competency in medication administration and IV infusion management.
• Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS as required by role.
• Show proficiency in EHR documentation and effective communication during handoffs.
