Job Summary:
Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a Cardiothoracic ICU. The role involves managing complex cardiovascular devices and ensuring optimal patient recovery through skilled interventions and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Titrate drips including sedation medications and vasoactive agents to maintain patient stability.
• Perform chest tube and line removals, assist with patient mobilization, and document daily weights.
• Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, valve surgeries, Ross procedures, thoracic surgeries, and aortic dissections.
• Manage advanced cardiac devices including CRRT, Tablo, Aquadex, Impella, IABP, Heart Mate III, external VAD, and ECMO.
• Monitor patient vital signs, laboratory results, and device data to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and compliance with clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and current certification in critical care nursing.
• Demonstrate experience in ICU settings, specifically with post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Possess knowledge of cardiovascular devices such as Impella, ECMO, and VADs.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
