Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) provides safe, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients during night shift. You will assess, monitor, and deliver evidence-based nursing interventions while coordinating with the healthcare team to support positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status during the shift.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and provider orders.
• Perform nursing documentation and ensure accurate charting in the assigned electronic medical record system.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Implement patient safety measures and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Participate in unit workflows and complete required modules prior to start.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license (WV or Compact) with ability to work as assigned.
• Maintain American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Maintain AHA certifications as required by the unit (ACLS/PALS if applicable).
• Demonstrate minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience.
• Complete required electronic documentation and workflow systems proficiency (CERNER preferred).
• Provide current required immunization documentation (flu vaccination) during the flu season timeframe.
