Job Summary:

Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical care within a small inpatient setting, supporting a variety of clinical needs including COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, and post-operative patients. Provide safe, patient-centered nursing through assessment, intervention, and coordination of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions, vital signs, and symptoms and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and provider orders
• Monitor respiratory and cardiac status for COPD, pneumonia, and chest pain presentations
• Provide post-operative and swing-bed nursing support, including wound/skin monitoring
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate care plans and discharge readiness
• Respond to patient needs promptly and escalate concerns in accordance with clinical guidelines

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain compliance with all required regulations
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Maintain current PALS certification
• Demonstrate recent Medical Surgical nursing experience with acutely ill and post-operative patients
• Provide proof of an unexpired driver’s license (required for submission)
