Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing in the CVICU, delivering advanced patient management for cardiac surgery and cardiovascular conditions. Ensure high-quality care through precise clinical interventions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to CVICU patients, including assessments, monitoring, and interventions.
• Recognize and respond promptly to critical ECG rhythms and patient status changes.
• Complete required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS prior to or during orientation.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed clinical records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and shift schedules, including holiday coverage.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand at the time of application.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent, full-time CVICU experience, including travel experience.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with passing scores.
• Demonstrate active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS with no pending renewals.
• Provide two managerial references from the past 12 months related to the specialty.
• Be able to work every other holiday as required.
