Job Summary:

Provide expert nursing care in the operating room setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver high-quality, individualized care that adheres to industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients pre-operatively to determine their specific needs and develop personalized care plans.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment to ensure a sterile, safe environment.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures, ensuring proper instrument handling and patient positioning.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond quickly to any changes during surgery.
• Administer medications and assist with anesthesia-related tasks following safety protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about pre- and post-operative care requirements and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Show ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
