Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring interventional and diagnostic procedures in an intensive care environment. Responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and supervising healthcare team members to ensure high-quality, safe patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the immediate and ongoing care needs of critically ill patients and their significant others.
• Develop comprehensive, evidence-based care plans that incorporate physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and discharge planning needs.
• Deliver direct patient care, ensuring adherence to medical regimens and clinical protocols.
• Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate patient responses to treatments and interventions, making timely adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate nursing interventions with the multidisciplinary team to maintain consistency with medical treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including LPNs, RNs, and ancillary personnel, supervising their adherence to scope of practice and standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least two (2) years of critical care experience.
• Proficiency in interventional and diagnostic procedures relevant to ICU environments.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize electronic medical records, hospital equipment, and healthcare systems efficiently.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members.
