Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and special procedures. Support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions by monitoring, preparing, and caring for patients throughout all phases of their procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and prepare them for IR procedures and special treatments.
• Chart patient information accurately using electronic health records and paper documentation.
• Assist during procedures by inserting IVs, setting up equipment, and monitoring patient status.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and mid-level providers regarding patient care plans and changes.
• Manage patient care pre, intra, and post-procedure, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain proficiency with EMR systems and interventional equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology or critical care.
• Proficient in IV starts and patient assessment.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (PALS required for travelers).
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle complex cases involving vascular and imaging procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Open to first-time travelers with relevant IR experience.
