Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join a compassionate and collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, possess strong clinical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering the best childbirth experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor fetal and maternal health, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and interventions.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Cross-train to assist in Critical Care Unit (CCU) or House Supervisor duties, as needed.
• Float to Medical-Surgical units to support staffing needs and guarantee hours.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• PALS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Mandatory Reporter certification or willingness to obtain.
