Job Details

Job Summary:
The OR RN is responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a hospital setting. They coordinate, implement, and evaluate surgical patient care before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies for various surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout surgeries, ensuring safety and stability.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team with sterile techniques and instrument handling.
• Administer medications and anesthetics as directed by physicians.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in medical records.
• Float to additional ORs if needed to support departmental volume and staffing.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with recent operating room experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in perioperative nursing standards and protocols.
• Possess current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have experience working with specialized equipment such as MAKO robotic systems, DaVinci robot, and intraoperative neurology tools.
• Maintain strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
