Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the operating room setting, utilizing nursing processes to ensure safe and effective perioperative care. Demonstrates expertise in surgical procedures and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients preoperatively, developing individualized perioperative care plans.
• Deliver holistic nursing care during surgical procedures, including scrub and circulate functions.
• Implement and evaluate patient education related to surgery and post-operative care.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with certifications, licensing, and hospital policies.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare team members.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, such as Epic.

Qualifications:

• Hold active CA RN licensure.
• Possess BLS (AHA) certification.
• Demonstrate scrub and circulate experience in operating rooms.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience, including neuro, Da Vinci robots, total joint, and spine procedures.
• Be flexible with shift hours, including rotating weekends and OT support.
• Be available for lab work within 3-5 days of offer and maintain necessary certifications.
