Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum in a high-volume Level IV unit. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results to assess fetal well-being.
• Administer medications and intervene promptly during labor and delivery procedures.
• Assist physicians during C-sections, cerclages, and other obstetric interventions.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and postpartum process.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Maintain readiness for on-call and emergency situations without call requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and meet state registration requirements.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and SVE competency.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and C-section circulation.
• Show ability to work effectively as part of a team with a positive attitude.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
