Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical skills and independent decision-making. Periodically offers support to the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatric units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing changes in condition promptly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following physicians’ orders and established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively in accordance with hospital policies.
• Provide after-hours recovery care for post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients when required.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 3 years of prior ICU experience.
• Possess an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Maintain a current, unrestricted RN license valid in the United States or territories.
• Confirm current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TCAR certifications, with PALS, TCAR, and NIHSS completed within six months of hire.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
