Job Summary:
The Hospital Pharmacist oversees inpatient pharmaceutical services, ensuring the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and administration of medications. They maintain compliance with all regulatory standards while supporting clinical and operational excellence within the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of inpatient pharmacy operations, including procurement, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
• Review all medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety, verifying patients' home medications before use.
• Maintain pharmaceutical inventories, including pharmaceuticals, specialty boxes, and crash carts, ensuring stock levels and security protocols are met.
• Ensure pharmacy services comply with federal, state, and accreditation standards, updating policies accordingly.
• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, providing drug information, addressing drug discrepancies, and supporting cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of medication procurement, dispensing, disposal, and controlled substances, ensuring legal compliance.

Qualifications:

• Must have inpatient pharmacy experience within the last 3 years.
• Hold a current Pharmacist license and relevant credentials.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmaceutical operations, regulatory requirements, and clinical practices.
• Exhibit excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of managing inventory, ensuring compliance, and providing clinical drug information.
