Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained. Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and professionalism while managing urgent clinical situations.

Responsibilities:

• Triage patients efficiently and accurately upon arrival to prioritize care needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition and updates.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions, escalating concerns as necessary.
• Cross-train and assist in other nursing units, including Med Surge, when needed.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records systems.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active California RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Possess 2+ years of recent ER nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrate operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (T-System and CPSI).
• Pass nursing medication competency assessments.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Display excellent interpersonal skills working with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
