Job Summary:


The X-Ray Technologist conducts diagnostic radiologic procedures using specialized imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for medical assessment. Responsible for patient preparation, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and oversee radiologic equipment to capture clear diagnostic images.
  
• Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them correctly and providing clear explanations to reduce anxiety.
  
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
  
• Maintain equipment functionality through routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  
• Document exam details thoroughly in patient records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Hold a New York State License as a Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T).
  
• ARRT certification in radiography.
  
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  
• Demonstrate competency in diagnostic procedures and radiation safety.
  
• Possess strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  
• Maintain professional development through CME and participation in relevant workshops.
