Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. They prepare patients for procedures, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain equipment to support high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting immobilization devices.
• Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment to ensure optimal image quality and safety.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff, including shielding and beam restriction.
• Document patient care and imaging results accurately in medical records.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage equipment inventories to ensure operational readiness.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist credential.
• ARRT certification in radiologic technology.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Demonstrate competency in diagnostic procedures and possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in excellent condition.
• Dependable team player committed to patient safety and quality service.
