Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective maternal and neonatal outcomes in a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health before, during, and after labor.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips, including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin.
• Support breastfeeding initiation and Newborn Care for MBU patients.
• Assist with C-sections and active labor as circulating or scrub nurse.
• Document patient progress accurately using Meditech EMR and OBIX systems.
• Provide patient education and emotional support throughout the childbirth process.

Qualifications:

• Valid CA Nursing License required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required; AWHONN advanced fetal monitoring preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in postpartum and newborn care.
• Ability to work flexible 12-hour night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
