Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse to deliver specialized neuro-critical care in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will handle complex neurological cases and adapt to changing unit needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced patient care for neurological ICU patients, including those with TBI, SAH, SDH, tumors, and other neurological disorders.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic and invasive procedures such as EVD insertions, A-line insertions, central lines, intubations, and CRRT.
• Monitor and interpret neurovascular status, dysrhythmias, and intracranial pressures, ensuring patient stability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all certification and hospital policies, including timely documentation and procedural protocols.
• Float within scope to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED, and PACU as needed, providing consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with pending or active state license acceptance.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience, particularly in neuro-critical environments.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Demonstrated proficiency in neuro procedures, patient assessments, and dysrhythmia management.
• Ability to work night shifts and accommodate block scheduling.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
