Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP specializes in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. The role requires expertise in cardiac devices and emergency medications, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor balloon pumps, Impella devices, atherectomy tools, and cardiac medication drips.
• Manage emergency medications and respond promptly to ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) protocols.
• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Document patient assessments, procedural details, and medications accurately in medical records.
• Provide patient education regarding post-procedure care and recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 18 months of clinical experience, preferred 2 years.
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac devices like balloon pumps, Impella, and atherectomy systems.
• Possess current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of cardiac emergency protocols and medication management.
• Be able to work flexible shifts including on-call evenings and weekends.
• Be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs.
