Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a children's hospital. The clinician will deliver patient-centered therapies, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support critically ill pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, therapies, and ventilator management according to physician orders and patient needs.
• Evaluate patient status and adjust respiratory interventions accordingly to optimize outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic or equivalent electronic charting systems.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and travel regulations, including RTO and mileage restrictions.
• Float within scope of practice across various hospital departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active state license as a Respiratory Therapist; pending licenses accepted with proof of application.
• Possess RRT credential, BLS, and NRP certifications at a minimum.
• Demonstrate a minimum of Level 4 NICU experience; Cardiac PICU experience preferred.
• Have at least one year of recent pediatric ICU experience.
• Be able to provide copies of required certifications during submission.
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems required.
