Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician supports surgical teams by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, assisting during procedures, and ensuring all operative equipment is functional. They play a vital role in facilitating efficient and safe surgical environments.

Responsibilities:

• Create and sustain a sterile environment to prevent contamination.
• Inspect sterile supplies and equipment for integrity before use.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by preparing instruments and supplies.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and air-powered surgical equipment.
• Assist with various surgical procedures, including specialty surgeries such as sports medicine and trauma.
• Support RN staff by documenting hardware usage and verifying specimen collection accuracy.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Surgical Technician or completion of Surgical Technician training.
• Certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
