Job Summary:
Providing specialized nursing care for postpartum, newborn, antepartum, and labor and delivery patients, supporting the health and recovery of mothers and infants. The RN will work within the Mother Baby / Postpartum specialty, ensuring safe and effective patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive postpartum and antepartum nursing care to patients, monitoring and assessing their needs.
• Perform newborn assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal infant care.
• Support labor and delivery services by floating to L&D as needed, excluding triage and circulating responsibilities.
• Utilize fetal monitoring skills, including active fetal monitoring certification, to track and interpret EFM data.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in cross-training for antepartum and postpartum care to ensure flexible staffing support.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active MD or Compact nursing license for Virginia or applicable state, with proof of residency matching licensure.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of recent, acute care RN experience in a Mother Baby / Postpartum setting.
• Certified in fetal monitoring (C-EFM) at the time of submission; antepartum/postpartum experience preferred.
• Demonstrate travel experience and flexibility to work rotating holidays and weekends.
• Have strong clinical skills in antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal assessment and care.
