Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population on a fast-paced Medical Surgical Unit, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive, individualized care plans.
• Utilize clinical pathways and evidence-based practices to deliver holistic patient care focused on safety and recovery.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise by acting as a resource and role model for professional nursing practice.
• Communicate effectively using SBAR and foster collegial relationships within the healthcare team.
• Manage time efficiently, assist colleagues, and contribute to the overall productivity of the unit.
• Adhere to attendance policies and document all care activities in compliance with facility standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven clinical experience with 2+ years of straight Medical Surgical nursing; no float time or other specialties.
• Current Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required).
• Must have Level II or I trauma experience.
• BLS certification through AHA.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse healthcare environment.
