Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, and holistic care while adhering to McLaren's strict attendance policy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Seek ongoing professional development through certifications, advanced degrees, and literature review.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership by sharing knowledge and serving as a role model for peers.
• Communicate effectively within the healthcare team using SBAR, interdisciplinary channels, and collegial relationships.
• Manage time efficiently to ensure optimal team productivity and patient care.
• Perform additional duties aligned with clinical competencies and unit-specific objectives.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of direct Med Surg RN experience; no float or other specialty units.
• Hold Level II or I Trauma experience; travel experience preferred.
• Maintain current Michigan RN license with verification via LARA and Nursys.
• Complete a skills checklist within the past year specific to RN specialty.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to lifelong learning.
