Job Summary:

Experienced Operating Room RN specializing as a Surgical First Assistant is needed for day shift coverage. Candidates must hold current CSFA certification and be capable of providing advanced perioperative support to surgical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by providing tissue retraction and other necessary support.
• Prepare the operating room and sterile equipment for upcoming surgeries.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and communicate changes to the surgical team.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document intraoperative procedures accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient surgical operations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with operating room experience.
• Possess Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification.
• Maintain current CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Show flexibility to accommodate shift scheduling and emergency cases.
