Job Summary:


Seeking a Short Stay RN to provide specialized nursing care in a surgical short stay unit. The role involves managing pre- and post-operative patients, ensuring optimal patient outcomes, and coordinating care efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
  
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to clinical changes.
  
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.
  
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions.
  
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and valid state licensure.
  
• Possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  
• Demonstrate previous experience in surgical or short stay units.
  
• Have strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
  
• Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system strongly preferred.
