Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a fast-paced academic medical center. Responsible for monitoring, assessing, and documenting patient conditions to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, adhering to clinical protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient status continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-discharge care and health management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess recent experience in medical-surgical or cardiac care units.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Show proficiency in cardiac monitoring and medication administration.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
