Job Summary:
The Ultrasound/Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The role involves working in outpatient settings with a focus on obstetric, abdominal, vascular, breast, and pediatric imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including OB, abdominal, DVT, carotids, breast, and pediatric scans.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.
• Conduct invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis as required.
• Document findings accurately within the electronic medical record system, preferably EPIC.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compliance with certification, licensing, and workplace policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB, Breast, and Peds ultrasound.
• Possess BLS certification and NY license in hand.
• Have at least 1 year of recent community hospital ultrasound experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with outpatient ultrasound procedures and equipment.
• Be able to perform invasive procedures like thoracentesis and paracentesis.
• Experience with EPIC charting is required.
