Job Summary:

The Ultrasound/Ultrasound Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations, provides technical assistance to Radiologists, and ensures proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment. The role requires precise image capturing and efficient patient workflow management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations following departmental protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound equipment, adhering to safety standards.
• Capture high-quality images and save them to PACS for radiologist review.
• Assist in training and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.
• Manage scheduling, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient transportation as needed.
• Ensure all ultrasound supplies are stocked and equipment is properly cleaned.

Qualifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with administrative procedures.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Possess an Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology or equivalent, with successful completion of an accredited sonography program.
