Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical-Surgical setting under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans while supervising co-workers and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts thorough nursing assessments and document findings accurately in patient charts.
• Develops individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical needs.
• Implements and documents nursing interventions according to established protocols.
• Evaluates patient responses to treatment and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Supervises delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff to ensure quality and safety.
• Performs additional duties related to patient care as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Experience in Med-Surg Observation care is required.
• Recent travel nursing experience preferred.
• Valid and active Michigan nursing license in good standing according to Nursys or LARA.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Med-Surg nursing skills and documentation.
