Job Summary:


Provides skilled nursing care within the operating room environment, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during surgical procedures. Collaborates with surgical teams to deliver high-quality, individualized care before, during, and after operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients preoperatively to determine readiness for anesthesia and surgery.
  
• Administer medications and anesthesia under the supervision of the anesthesia team.
  
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during procedures.
  
• Assist surgical team with sterile techniques, instrument handling, and procedural tasks.
  
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care and post-operative expectations.
  
• Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and patient responses accurately and in compliance with protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado registered nurse license or valid compact state license.
  
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
  
• Proven experience in operating room nursing or perioperative care.
  
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and priority-setting skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with surgical teams.
  
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards.
