Job Summary:
Provides specialized psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health inpatient unit. Responsible for ensuring patient safety, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support mental health recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to mental health crises.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and de-escalation in behavioral situations.
• Follow unit policies, safety protocols, and maintain a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current registration.
• BLS and CPI certification required.
• At least 1 year of recent behavioral health inpatient experience.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and mental health procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to handle patient acuity with flexibility and compassion.
