Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients in a hospital setting, focusing on behavioral health and mental health stabilization. Serve as a key member of the inpatient mental health team, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic support.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Monitor patient behavior and administer medications according to prescribed protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment processes.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including de-escalation and crisis intervention.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of Colorado or appropriate state licensure.
• Possess at least 1 year of current behavioral health nursing experience.
• Maintain BLS and CPI certifications.
• Demonstrate strong inpatient behavioral health experience.
• Show flexibility, team-oriented attitude, and compassionate patient handling skills.
