Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using specialized equipment. The technician will work in a fast-paced clinical setting, ensuring accurate testing and patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Siemens nuclear medicine imaging equipment to perform procedures such as stress tests, PYP, and HIDA scans.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor and assess patient condition throughout the imaging process, providing comfort and instructions.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient data, and equipment calibration in EMR systems.
- Adhere to unit policies, dress code (olive green tops, black pants), and safety standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care and procedural accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification or license.
- Minimum of 1 year in nuclear medicine imaging or related radiology field.
- Proficient in operating Siemens equipment and EMR systems (Meditech, Synapse).
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a family-oriented personality.
- Ability to work independently and follow protocols strictly.
- Knowledge of cardiac nuclear procedures is preferred.
