Job Description
Job Summary:
Perform specialized cardiovascular operating room procedures as a Certified Surgical First Assistant or RNFA, supporting cardiac, vascular, endovascular, or thoracic surgeries. Ensure compliance with privileging and credentialing requirements prior to commencement.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain necessary privileging and credentialing, including completing required processes within designated timelines.
- Support surgical teams during cardiac, vascular, endovascular, or thoracic procedures, adhering to established protocols.
- Participate in pre-operative preparation, including reviewing patient history, labs, and imaging as required.
- Maintain full compliance with facility policies, including documentation, licensing, and certification requirements.
- Assist with intraoperative tasks, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Complete all orientation modules and non-billable hours as specified to facilitate a smooth onboarding process.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active CVOR credential with a minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience, including cardiac or vascular surgery.
- Possess current licensed certification such as CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCS, with required licenses in hand at submission.
- Demonstrate ability to complete privileging and credentialing processes within approximately 120 days.
- Maintain current CPR certification and any other required clinical credentials.
- Exhibit strong clinical skills in supporting complex cardiovascular surgeries.
- Provide two supervisory references from managers or above, available at time of submission.
