Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing services to patients in the CVICU setting, including post-operative open-heart surgery patients. Performs advanced monitoring and interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes during high-acuity care episodes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive cardiac critical care, including pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, and Impella device oversight.
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for post-open-heart surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring CRRT and other advanced support therapies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Document clinical interventions accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
• Ensure compliance with all certifications and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, with WV or Compact license acceptable; pending licenses considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent RN experience, including direct open-heart surgery admissions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac surgery skills, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz, Impella, and CRRT management.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.
• Have experience working in a CVICU or similar high-acuity cardiac unit.
• Able to provide at least 2 recent manager/charge references.
