Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical/Tele specialty provides direct patient care in a busy acute care hospital setting. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, ensuring patient safety, and delivering quality nursing interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor and document patient responses, vital signs, and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina RN license or Compact license in hand prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry or Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; NIH preferred.
• Tele competency and previous charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
