Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a busy acute care setting. They ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and administer medications while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver quality treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon admission and throughout the shift.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and detect any changes in condition promptly.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina RN license or Compact license prior to start.
• Possess at least 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required; NIH certification preferred.
• Demonstrate telemetry competency and prior charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Able to float within scope to meet facility needs and work effectively in a community hospital environment.
